We hear from alumni all over the world about how important Mac In Your City events are to them. Of course each Macalester alum is unique, but there is a Macalester spirit that connects you all – a need to build a better world with a drive to put ideas into action. It is a comfort to connect with Mac folks in your community to know you have other like-minded people nearby for support and re-energizing. Our annual Mac In Your City event provides an opportunity for alumni to gather and engage in their community, discuss their passions, and celebrate your Macalester pride. You can help people connect to that Macalester passion and energy in your city by hosting a Mac in Your City gathering. We’re looking for hosts to be creative. You can host a social event or host a discussion. In bigger cities, maybe organize by neighborhood or meet at a museum. You're a Mac grad, you'll have endless ideas!Not sure of your event details yet? That's okay! What type of event do you plan to host?
Please share if your event is open to all alumni or if it will be a private event. For events open to all alumni, the Alumni Engagement office will send invitations to alumni in your area. If you wish to organize a private event, you will be responsible for messaging and inviting alumni to attend.
