Remember all those discussions you had at Mac, all the new ideas, and passions you discovered? Enjoy that same energy again at Mac In Your City events all over the world. Meet new alumni and reconnect with those you know in your area. You will find there is a little bit of Mac wherever you are!

Events have been organized around the world by alumni hosts, creating opportunities to gather and engage in community and conversation. Show your Mac pride by wearing blue and orange, take a photo, and share online using the #heymac or #MIYC25 hashtags.

Event Details

Join fellow Macalester alumni for a relaxed Friday evening gathering under the trees at Cuesta Park in Mountain View, CA! This in-person, all-alumni event is a chance to reconnect with old friends, meet new faces, and celebrate our shared Macalester spirit in a casual, family-friendly setting.

Bring a blanket or lawn chair, and feel free to pack a picnic, snacks, or games to share. We’ll have space to catch up, share stories, and enjoy the beautiful California sunshine. Whether you’ve just moved to the Bay Area or have called it home for years, this is a wonderful opportunity to grow our alumni community on the West Coast!

We’ll gather at a table in the family BBQ area (look for blue and orange decorations!), conveniently located right across from the small parking lot and near the restrooms. Light bites and refreshments will be provided, and we warmly encourage you to bring along your favorite picnic foods or snacks to enjoy—and perhaps share—with fellow alumni.
