Mac In Your City: Houston, TX (Postino)

Mac In Your City is a three-day celebration of the Macalester community, bringing alumni together in cities and towns around the world for connection, conversation, and community.

Each event is unique because it's hosted by alumni. Whether you're gathering over coffee, enjoying a meal, exploring a local museum, or taking a neighborhood walk, you'll have the opportunity to reconnect with familiar faces, meet fellow Scots, and celebrate the Macalester spirit close to home.

Event Details

Come join us for a happy hour/after-work business casual informal meet and greet. This is a great opportunity to connect or reconnect with other local Mac alumni. There will be a brief program, with quick introductions around the room (name, class year, major, one or two short sentences about what interests you now/how you landed in Houston), and our local Alumni Board member giving highlights of what’s going on in the Mac community and on campus.

There is free parking onsite. If the restaurant lots are full, nearby on-street parking is available; please observe signs and do not block driveway entrances. 

No event fee, however, food and drink purchase will be individual. Some attendees will likely order and share snack trays.

The venue will check IDs if alcohol is ordered. In addition to a wide choice of bottled wines from around the world, they also gladly sell other beverages including a nice variety of nonalcoholic drinks.
